How I Find Niches in Las Vegas

Hey there...

Your friend Hank here from WA.  Today I want to discuss once again one of the most frustrating tasks for Internet marketers.

FINDING A NICHE!

Why is it so hard?  Why do I get people telling me every day they are having a tough time finding a niche?

It is simple.

You are trapping yourself into one-way, directional thinking.  You look at the 'debt relief' bus stop advertisement and that is what you see, the advertisement.  You don't relate that "hey, that could be a niche that I enter online".

I am actually in Las Vegas right now on a quick vacation and I realized just how apparent new niches and potential ideas are.

I walked across the street from my hotel and I saw a billboard truck drive by with an ad promoting "divorce attorneys" in Las Vegas.  Imagine that...haha

This got me thinking.  I wonder what sort of things people search online related to the divorce niche.

"how to prevent a divorce"
"how to find a good divorce attorney"
"what is the US divorce rate"
"do people that meet online get divorced at a higher rate"
"find a divorce lawyer in las vegas"
"how to get divorced without losing money"
"how to protect assets from divorce"
etc..

Then as went into the casino, there were people everywhere asking me if I wanted to go to any night clubs.  Then I thought, wow, there really are a lot of night clubs here...and I bet a lot of people are looking for Las Vegas night club info online.

You could easily come up with some article concepts or some blog post concepts from this idea alone:

"best night club on the vegas strip"
"what nights is tao night club open"
"getting into night clubs free in vegas"
"outdoor beach club in vegas"
...

I could go on and on with this idea alone.

Then I went to the ticket booth to purchase some tickets.  I ended up purchasing a few tickets to a comedy show that night in Vegas and the girl at the counter said to me "I wish I could afford tickets to a show".

Tough times have hit people everywhere and people in every sort of job are looking for new opportunities.  They are looking and seeking out new jobs.

"how to find a high paying job"
"employment companies in las vegas nevada"
"does education lead to higher paying jobs"
"where in the US are the highest paying jobs"
"how much do bartenders make"
"how much do bartenders in vegas make"

Some more great article ideas there...some great content for your WordPress sites you can create at Wealthy Affiliate, and some definite leads into getting some great traffic.

I found niches quickly, without much effort, doing ONE SIMPLE THING...

Looking around.  I LOOKED around.

Tell me this much.  Next time you are looking for a niche, LOOK around and record ideas.  Whether you take a notepad with you are you type it into your iPhone notes, take record of everything you find.  I guarantee you will come up with 10 niches very quickly and a slew of article ideas, post ideas, website ideas, and promotional ideas that will lead to your online success.
